Jeanne, Bob, Derrold and Debbie:
What a great life Mom Hoewing lived. Though Reva and I met her only once we have never forgotten her.
We are sure that--considering her long and meaningful life--you have rich memories and are at peace even though it is never easy to give a loved one up. Still all of you will be in my prayer. May you all be comforted by the remembrance of a life lived well and the help of the Holy Spirit.
I was struck by one other thing. Last September we buried a 98 year old woman--the favorite aunt of both Reva and me--who lived the kind of quiet life and embodied the essence of humility, kindness and concern for others that I associate with what I recall and what Jeanne has written about your Mom. Her name was also Helen--very fitting. She was the last member of my dad's generation to die, I believe.
God bless all of you.
